Visit to a local reindeer farm to meet a Sámi herder whose ancestors have been herding reindeer for centuries in Kilpisjärvi region.
After meeting and feeding the reindeer outside, it is time to enter the barn, where we sit by a fireplace and have hot drinks. You will learn various aspects of traditional Sámi culture, like yearly cycle of reindeer herding, customs and clothing.
Includes guiding, transportation, over coat, hot drink, pastry, local delicacies.

Meeting place for the activity is Kilpissafarit. Meeting 15–5 minutes before scheduled start. Optional pick up and return service from resort in 5 km radius from Kilpissafarit office, 5€ per person in connection with reservation. Please note timetable is in Finnish timezone.
Tour is weather permitted. In case we cancel this trip due to weather condition you will get full refund.

If less customers, Kilpissafarit will contact customers latest on previous day and provide options of either cancellation with full refund or option for private tour with extra cost.
